By hopping on an electric bike, one can easily explore the beautiful parks of the region and climb to the top of the high lookout towers which offer picturesque views of the landscape. Watchtower in Hodoš

Observing the Hetés Region from high above is an amazing experience. This special experience is offered at two former military watchtowers of Goričko that were renovated in 2018. Near the Slovenian-Hungarian border stands the watchtower of Hodoš, an approximately 15-metre-high watchtower that is constructed of metal. Its stairs lead to a closed observation floor.

Watchtower in Krplivnik

The brick watchtower in Krplivnik, located near the border, was formerly used for military purposes and its observation platform can be accessed by the interior stairs. From its top, one can see the valley of the River Krka and the wider region as well: the cultivated fields, beautiful forests and the diverse architectural heritage.

The Hetés Friendship Park in Žitkovci

The area of the park between the Slovenian settlement Žitkovci and the Hungarian Bödeháza used to be borderland, but it has changed its purpose and has become a popular destination for day trippers and the site of different events. In the park, the memorial Borderless Bird was erected, made from the remnants of the ‘Iron Curtain’ that divided the two villages and were found in that spot.

Vinarium Lookout Tower

The 53.5m high, circular-shaped tower stretches towards the sky with its ten floors. The observation deck at the top enables you to see views of four countries: Slovenia, Hungary, Croatia and Austria. In the square in front of the tower, you can choose from the rich local culinary offerings.

Piramida/Lármafa Peak

On the hills of Lendava, at 328 metres above sea level, stands the building known as Piramida in Slovenian, or Lármafa in Hungarian, which offers breath-taking views of the wider region and its splendours. In the hikers´ box at the tower you can find the stamp for the ˝Pomurje Hiking Trail˝.

Lovers’ Bench

The lovers’ benches are spread across Slovenia´s 19 settlements´ most attractive viewpoints. One of these is embraced by the arms of the vineyards in the Lendava hills. Its aim and mission are to evoke the thought of humans living in harmony with nature, suggest spending active time in nature and, on top of all that, it also offers a breath-taking vista.

Roža – Town Park

The town park that from a bird´s-eye view outlines the form of a rose, is a place where different age groups can spend their time, alone or in company. While children can play in the playground, adults can rest on the benches.

Oxbow Lake of the River Mura and the Danijel Halas Memorial Park in Kot

Like Radmožanci, Kot is also an important place of pilgrimage where, at the oxbow lake of the River Mura, the Memorial Park of Danijel Halas was established. The memorial park and its area are an interesting sight because visitors can get acquainted with the flora and fauna of the oxbow lake of the River Mura.
